This activity makes use of children’s love for opening and closing small containers, many of which they will encounter in their daily life. This activity lets them experiment with, and compare, the different opening mechanisms and practice until they have mastered them. Indirect learning outcomes include: development of independence, concentration, fine motor skills and co-ordination, a sense of order and self-control.

Set includes: small presentation basket, 9 containers each with a different opening mechanism – flip top jar, bottle with cork top, screw top jar, button pouch, zip pouch, draw string pouch, metal tin, hinged box, small plastic storage box.
