We have come to think of these Sound Buttons as ‘the missing link’ between the sandpaper letters, the moveable alphabet and the pink, blue & green Montessori reading schemes. The set includes 51 electronic buttons that play individual letter and digraph sounds and that can be used by children to explore letter sounds independently and at their own pace, noticeably improving the accuracy of the phonic sounds they use.

Children as young as 2 ½ enjoy pressing the buttons, listening to the sounds and can often point out a letter from their name. As they get older, children can use the buttons in conjunction with the corresponding traceable letters and then start to sound out and build up words.

The buttons are well made, with excellent sound quality and easily replaceable batteries.

Each Sound Button measures 60 x 75 x 14mm.
A single letter or digraph is printed on the front.
The sound will play each time the PLAY button is pressed.
Each Button has built-in magnets for use on metal surfaces.
